Private Garden Wedding Cape Town

What a lovely couple Mike and Melissa are.  They love one another, the people around them, their families, nature and their 3 dogs to bits.  I feel privileged to have been asked to capture the union of these two brilliant individuals in their garden on their wedding day.

I asked if I could use their Yoga Studio for some of the images.  When I arrived to setup, I met Ned – the youngest of the four Brake brothers.  He was preparing for his speech, lying on a mattress on the floor.  He let me in on a little secret that he was planning to sing a song for his mom.  I told him about when I sang for my wife at our wedding 11 years ago.  I remember how it felt like a great idea before the wedding and the worst decision on the day of the wedding.  It was quite nerfed wracking.  Looking back, I told him, it was the best way I could make her feel my love for her.

Inbetween the commotion of the wedding and almost 200 people, I forgot about our conversation earlier the afternoon.  Following his brothers, Ned finally rocked up.  After giving a superb speech, he fulfilled the promise.

I really hope to get to see this special family soon again.

Enjoy these lovely memories with them.
