As I gathered, it was the year of a big fire. Annelise was the driver for a hunting group down from the Cape who makes an annual trip to this Free State haven. A fire broke, and everyone in the community came together to tackle it. It was here where Abrie spotted Annelise and well, let’s just say … there was quite a spark! They ended up getting married this weekend at Delsma Farm in the area where Annelise grew up. I love their story! (And their cake!) This was a lot of fun!
