Bosveld Wedding
This is a beautiful love story. Harry-Charles saw Hanlie walking down a flight of stairs somewhere in London more than 12 years ago. He lost his heart and fought for more than a decade to win her over. And he won!
This was truly special for several reasons. Hanlie is the 3rd (and last) Cloete siblings’ wedding I got to do. This family chased me all over the country. Deon & Maria got married in Clarens back in 2012. Derik & Liza was a bit more gracious to my flight schedule and opted for Elgin in 2014. These guys, however, pushed it even further North to the Bushveld close to Rustenburg. The venue was the stunning Bou Bou B&B owned by legends Jan-Piet & Marnice. Thank you so much for all your help and brilliant hospitality! Julle rock!
The day started out bloedig warm with a predicted heatwave. As the ceremony continued, the clouds moved in and a storm started to brew. As it started to get dark, Jan-Piet and I rushed the couple off almost straight after the family shots. I shot viciously to get a few shots in before the rain hit. It never did. Instead, we had dust and drama in the sky and a perfect backdrop for some spectacular Bosveld wedding photos.
Special weather in a special place with a special couple.
May the security of Harry-Charles’ unconditional love for Hanlie be a beacon and hope to many out there. May it be Hanlie’s safe place to flourish, serve and grow.
