Brand Fam

Gesinsfotograaf Stellenbosch

As a photographer and creative, I am used to try and create something out of nothing.  Angles, depth of field, contrast, focus, looks and light get all mixed in a pot to dish up something that will draw the attention and satisfy.  I am happy to do this.  This is part of why I love my job.  So when you have this in mind, drive off to a location and come across something extraordinary like this morning, I start to get really nervous.  Will I be able to recreate this?  Can this be captured and do I have the skill to do so? Will my product not disappoint the client as it was so mesmerising, pure and beautifully created on its own?

You will be surprised, but this doesn’t happen often.  The only other times I can recall when I felt like this, were moments with magnificent sunsets and this unique day in my life.  From now on I will have to add the Brand Family to this short list of moments I didn’t anticipate, didn’t plan to come across and feel humbled to have been chosen to document.

I’m saying I don’t have too much to do with how these turned out.  These are incredible kids, a beautiful family and God’s creation in and around them celebrated at full volume.  I am truly thankful and humbled that they returned after our shoot back in 2012.    May there be many more moments like this in the Brand Family’s lives and may they continue to bless others as they have blessed me again here.

Enjoy!
