During the summer break, I quickly popped in to see the lovely White Family. They were on holiday at the ocean. We planned to do a quick shoot with them with a few strong portraits and some environmental portraiture.
I wanted to portray that summer holiday feeling. The warm sun on your skin; the smell of sunscreen mixed with a fresh ocean in your nose; that coolness in the heat with no wind making you glad you chose the seaside for your break. Anyone who has ever been in South Africa during the summer, will know what I am talking about. It is magical!
