I think this shoot makes it shoot number 4 with the awesome Van der Meer Fam. 2 in SA and 2 in the Netherlands. First the one where we met in SA, then their wedding in Noordwijk, the other fam shoot in Zandvoort and now this one on their holiday doorstep in Cape Town.
We tried to pull off this shoot I think 5 times in the time that they were here. It meant numerous 6am calls back and forth: “Can you see the mountain; is the wind quiet; are you awake; anybody ill this time round? Ok, let’s try again next time.” Finally we pulled it off with a foggy view of the iconic mountain in the background. It was worth it!
I love these guys and call them our good friends. It is a pity we live so far apart, but awesome that we see each other so often. Thank you for loving our country so much and for always being so welcoming when I come to visit you in the Netherlands. You know this is a friendship I treasure and one that I am so happy to have in my life.
When I look back at my career one day, I’ll be glad I have done it because of making friends like you guys. Blessings upon blessings to these dutchies!
