It was a privilege to be chosen to capture this clan together in the Stellenbosch outdoors as part of Frances’ birthday celebrations. Everyone pulled together to give her a present that can last for generations.
Hierdie is lekker mense! Frances is the Ouma of this energetic clan that is knitted together in passion. She started a tradition of knitting a special blanket for each child and grandchild when they are born. How special it was to capture all the grandkids together with her with their blankets. It made for a colourful memory.
I have photographed parts of this family individually before and was impressed to see how they have grown in the numbers and size. This is probably the biggest honour in my work to be asked back again for another shoot at the same family. Thank you for this guys. Much appreciated.
