Family Photographer Hermanus
“We are a family from Norway, and our friends Olivier and Caroline (a French couple with two kids who live in Oslo) have recommended you most highly for family portraits!”.
This was my first contact with the Mota Family. What a joy! David and his family were visiting South Africa on a well deserved holiday. I was extremely keen to photograph and meet this family. I did a bit of research and found David to be an Astrophysicist and professor at the University of Oslo. Not knowing what to expect and understanding the value of the connection for great photographs, I was a little bit nervous to see how I would be able to connect with such an intelligent family.
Needless to say, they were the most lovely and gentle people with the kindest hearts that showed on their faces. We only spent 90min together, but it is one of those people you meet, where you feel you can just pick up from where you left off, although you have just started.
I am looking forward to seeing the Mota Family again. Hopefully sooner than later.
