I have known the Kriges for quite a few years. I have had the privilige to photograph their garden many times (published here). It really fits this special and lovely family perfectly! Apart from our history together, it was the first time I have met these two adventurous boys! They just came to visit Ouma in Jonkershoek and then found a funny man with a camera following them as they played.
The boys really gave me a lot to work with – hide and seek between the clivias; autumn leaves on the lawn. But the magic happened when the frog hunting started – some special shots here. (Contact me if you ever have a problem with frogs – these guys will sort you out in no time!)
How amazing it is to be young, innocent and adventurous. It is a gift bestowed to all healthy children to make the most of every moment. May these and other kids inspire us to become more like them (again). It surely must be the essence of life and something to hold onto for as long as possible!
