I have become more selective in the weddings that I do. For this family though, I will drive across the country and back if I have to.
What a privilege it is to have been involved with some of the Bender Clan weddings. I look back at some of these weddings and see how the kids have grown. It makes me smile. To echo and copy the words I have said before: "Hierdie mense is mense wat jou wil deel maak van hulle. Of ten minste, jy wil deel word van hulle". Loosely translated as 'they are the cool gang and they don't mind you standing with them and call you their friend' :)
JG and Renette went out of their way to make this celebration beautiful and special. They are a great match and are building on foundations laid by 2 phenomenal families. They will succeed.
The wedding was held at the amazing Oranje Gasteplaas between Fouriesburg and Clarens in the Eastern Free State. As someone mentioned, the Free State put on her most beautiful dress for us. What a special place. I am so glad we had enough time to make the most of it.
Thank you JG & Renette for wanting me to capture your special weekend. It means a lot to me and my family. Thank you families for all the laughs. The Camphers, Prinsloos, Dreyers, and Benders. Some new faces but the same hearts. The catch-up kuier was so good for the soul.
