Yes, there was a wedding on Saturday! Albert and Anel managed to pull off a summer wedding at Groenrivier just outside of Riebeeck West, in a way for all to remember.
After this rollercoaster year of 2020, I think everyone attending the wedding breathed a sigh of relief when Anel came walking down the aisle. Non more so than Albert, I am sure. It was a beautiful day.
I decided to try and give them something a bit more artistic, playing with light. At one point I apologised to Anel saying that we'll get a few more "normal" shots after that session. She just responded in saying that as long as I make them look good, she doesn't mind. Well, I personally think it all worked out great. May they agree!
Unfortunately, not everyone could attend the wedding because of Covid. Martin is Anel's brother and he and his family are stuck over in Denmark. I did Martin and Evelien's wedding a few years back and I knew that it was really tough for them not being there. This quick turn around time is especially for you guys. I hope that the images will share stories of the joy, friendship and celebration we experienced on Saturday in South Africa.
