A long time ago, I ran a programme called Germinate that fast-tracked photographers in the industry by roughly 5 years. It was a special season with amazing people.
Nielen was one of these original Germinators. We, unfortunately, haven't had the chance to catch up for quite a long time. So on Saturday, it was the first time I saw Simey and Nielen with their kids. How lovely it was to meet up with them after all these years and to meet their beautiful children.
Shoots like these honestly don't feel like work. In-between the shoot, we caught up on the lost years while having fun with the kids. It was just a very special time with lovely, old friends.
