Fotograaf Overberg

I had the immense privilege to photograph Japie & Elizabeth on Japie’s family farm in the beautiful Overberg district. Wow-it truly is a photographer’s dream. Looking at the numerous photos in the farmhouse hallway prior to the shoot, I realised that I actually knew Japie’s family. I started to get really excited about the future of Japie & Lizzie who have met one another randomly at a braai up north. Having known Lizzie’s family for a few years now, I knew we had two legend families that would be tied together through the marriage of these two successful and lovely individuals.

I photographed Elizabeth’s sister’s wedding up on their Clocolan farm in 2014. Since then, I have continued to bump into one of her many siblings at weddings and functions. They are all so lovely. When Elizabeth contacted me to do her wedding, I had no hesitation to say yes!

Japie & Lizzie – I hope that these engagement memories will be treasured by both of you and your families. I am looking forward to seeing you all again at the end of March next year in Bloem. The celebration is going to be truly special.
