What a privilege it was to spend some time with and to photograph the Sandrock Family in Stellenbosch. We always pass one another at school and have mutual friends, but it was the first time we could just hang out together for a while (with a camera continually in their faces of course :)
These guys are lovely, fun and down to earth people with a great sense of humour. One can see they are a tight family with their priorities in the right place. What stood out for me was their kids' confidence. They surely are secure in their parent's love who seem to give them enough safe space to stay unique and to just become and be themselves. This from two highly successful professionals who seems to find the perfect balance between work and family. I was very impressed.
Keep up the good work and enjoy one another. I am looking forward to hanging out with you again soon (even without the camera!).
