I had the absolute privilege to meet and capture the moment when Eddie asked Hellen to be his wife at the Delaire Graff Estate just outside of Stellenbosch in the Cape Winelands. It was an absolutely perfect summer's evening where Simonsberg showed herself in full and changed colour with the setting sun towards Table Mountain. It was breathtakingly beautiful!
We combined the proposal with a 2-hour photoshoot to get the best of this special day in their lives. We used the impressive leopard statue area, created by renowned sculpture Dylan Lewis, to start the shoot off with some high-key lighting for contrast and drama. We continued with the best the estate offers capturing the couple and enjoying the panoramic mountain views. We eventually ended up a Leopard's Landing where the big question was popped. There are not many places that beat this spot for a Wineland's sunset.
Thank you again, Delaire Graff, for all your assistance and help. Much appreciated! Mostly, a big thank you to Eddie and Hellen for trusting me with something so dear to your hearts. All the best for the exciting future that awaits.
