One shouldn’t take oneself too seriously. Especially on your wedding day. Gary and Kalandra have planned this day for a long, long time. So they decided to fully enjoy themselves and have FUN! That is the way to do it guys!
These two have been together for a decade. When we had our initial discussions, they shared their heart to host the people closest to them and to treat them to an amazing meal and good, live music. They just wanted a lekker kuier with the people they love on their wedding day. They surely got it. After the ceremony, most men changed into shorts and t-shirts to relax and set the tone. It worked!
The food and music also didn’t disappoint. Bertus Basson and Me and Mr Brown did an amazing job. The lovely Marli Basson made Kalandra & co look and feel beautiful, whilst Kanya Hunt provided a spectacular cake that the couple later on cut together with their lovely daughter Summer.
Apart from the festivities, the words that Gary spoke that evening, will stay with me. It resonated with my own experience (and probably a few other guys out there as well!). He said that the reason they had to go through all of this planning, expenses and time, all made sense when she walked down that aisle. Kalandra took his breath away and he fell head over heels in love again with the girl he has loved for so long. Beautiful!
