I had the privilege to photograph this intimate and beautiful Corona-affected wedding in Paarl over the weekend. It couldn't have been more special.
Under the current Covid-19 restrictions, Gavin and Glenda decided to still get married as was planned originally this year. They settled for a small garden ceremony and meal together with their families. They are now planning a groot party for sometime next year where their friends will get to share in the fun.
I've got to know the Spyron side of the family quite well over the years. First, there were Bert & Rudelle's engagement shoot and lovely wedding, then Ferdi and Kim's family shoot at the same garden and numerous other Oooh shoots (like this one) that is Kim's interior design business. These guys rock, are real people without pretence and absolutely lovely to hang out with.
I got to meet Gavin's side of the family as well. I am looking forward to getting to know and seeing more of them in the future. They are friendly, kind and honest people who were more than willing to offer their help and assistance to me on the day. Thank you for this. It was lovely to meet you all.
Gavin and Glenda - I walked away on Saturday hoping that I could do the beauty of your day justice. You managed to transform the already beautiful garden into a celebration paradise that was filled with love and joy. Thank you that you trusted me to capture you and your day so closely. I hope you will smile when you see these.
Till next year then - I can't wait!
